The international theater festival Sterija's Theater will start today in Novi Sad and will last until June 2, and at the 61st edition, seven plays will be presented in the competition program and two in the international program Circles.
The festival will carry the slogan "Where are the borders?", and in the Selection of National Drama and Theater, the competition will be "Someone else's heart or a theatrical treatise on the border" written by Biljana Srbljanović and directed by Dino Mustafić. The play was co-produced by several institutions from Belgrade and Sarajevo.
Among those selected by the selector of the Sterija Theater, Marina Milivojević Mađarev, is the play "We are the ones our parents warned us about" by Tanja Šljivar, directed by Mirjana Karanović and performed by the Bosnian National Theater from Zenica.
The play "Rodoljupci" by Jovan Steria Popović, directed by Andraš Urban and performed by the National Theater from Belgrade, will also be performed.
The selection also includes "Lame Ideals" by Milutin Uskoković, directed by Zlatko Sviben, and performed by the National Theater of Užice, then "Edeš Ana", based on the story of the same name by Deže Kostolanji, performed by the National Theater of Subotica - Drama in the Hungarian language, and "Drunkens" by Ivan Viripajev , directed by Boris Liješević and performed by Atelje 212.
Also participating is "Violinist on the Roof" directed by Atila Bereš, SNP and Novi Sad Theater.
