By walking, during which we will be panting so much that we can talk to someone, but not, for example, sing without difficulty, we really lose calories, speed up metabolism and contribute to general health.
However, there are several "step mistakes" that we often make while walking, so the calories don't go exactly as we imagined. As the coaches warn, we must not walk "routinely" - always on the same path, at the same pace and at the same time. If we do this, after two to three months we will lose calories much more slowly than we were able to do when we first started.
That's why you should change the route from time to time, that is, occasionally make it easier or harder, constantly "employ" the body with something new, because otherwise it gets used to what is offered.
The walk should sometimes be easy, sometimes moderate, and at least once a week more demanding. Or, even better, those three paces should be combined in the same walk - walk slowly for two minutes, speed up moderately and walk like that for a couple of minutes, and then walk very fast for half a minute. Those three walking paces should be repeated, walking for a total of 20 to 30 minutes at least three times a week.
If we want to lose weight by walking, we have to monitor what and how much we eat.
Finally, attention should also be paid to what kind of shoes we walk in. Old, well-worn sneakers will certainly not help us in our intention to walk with quality, but will also take time away from it and, possibly, cause additional pain in the legs and spine.
Choose sneakers in which, in front of the longest toe (it does not necessarily always have to be the big toe, but also, very often, the second toe), you will have a "thumb" toe to the edge of the sneaker. The heel in them must be firm, to have additional support, and if you are regular in this exercise, experts recommend that the sneakers should be replaced with new ones every six months.
