Athletes of the Podgorica marathon, Miloš Dragović and Rada Miladinović, are the winners of the 16th international 50 kilometer ultramarathon, which was held today in Podgorica.
Dragovic won in a time of three hours, 35 minutes and 26 seconds.
Second place went to Goran Vendlener from Novi Sad, the champion of Serbia at 100 kilometers (3:58,34), and third to last year's winner, Željko Milović from AK Nikšić (3:38,57).
Dragović was also declared the most durable man in Montenegro for 2016, and he also won the title of champion of Montenegro in the ultramarathon.
Miladinović, who was the best last year as well, triumphed in a time of four hours, 45 minutes and 21 seconds.
At the same time, she won the title of champion of Montenegro in the ultramarathon and broke the national record by 16 seconds.
40 competitors from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro took part in the ultramarathon race.
The participants of the Podgorica ultramarathon ran next to Ljubović hill, 50 laps, on a track XNUMX meters long.
The ultramarathon was held as part of the Podgorica Running Day event.
Dragoljub Korpivica from Mornar from Bar won for the fourth time in a row in the seniors' race at ten thousand meters with a result of 32 minutes and 53,5 seconds.
He won the last 20 races in Montenegro, and has been undefeated on the domestic stage for more than three years.
Miloš Mikić from AK Nikšić won second place (34:32,1), and his club mate Veselin Petrušić took third (37:20,0).
Slađana Perunović from AK Nikšić won the senior women's competition at five thousand meters with a time of 16 minutes and 18,1 seconds.
Second place was won by her club friend Lidija Todorović (19:04,3), while Anastasija Magdelinić (19:28,1), a member of Bjelopolje Jedinstva, came third.
