He explained that the Montenegrin Metropolitan's conversation with Marović ended around 15 hours and 15 minutes, when he left the prison in Spu.
The same source said that Amfilohije himself came to Spuška prison and that he brought several books and "some other gifts" to Marović.
At the beginning of the week, Marović asked the High Court for permission for the metropolitan to visit him in prison.
"Vijesti" does not know what the two discussed.
Metropolitan Amfilohije confirmed in a telephone conversation with a "Vijesti" reporter that he had been to Marović's, but after that the connection ended.
The former president of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro, Marović, was arrested on December 17 by order of the special prosecutor's office.
Collaborative witnesses in several cases before the Special Prosecutor's Office identified him as the head of a criminal group that damaged the budget of the Municipality of Budva by tens of millions of euros.
Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić said that the person they consider the organizer of a criminal group in Budva was arrested, and Marović was the last person arrested in those criminal investigations until yesterday.
Marović denied guilt at the hearing and said that he had neither a political nor any other function and the power to influence others and allegedly order the commission of illegalities.
His son Miloš Marović, one of the suspects in the Budva affairs, settled with the Special Prosecutor's Office on the last day of last year and admitted his guilt, after which he was released from prison.
