26 programs will be held in Nikšić in December, as part of the Government's support for the development of culture in that city, which, according to the organizers, will be characterized by a high artistic level.
The beginning of the December repertoire will be marked tomorrow evening in the "Ilija Šobajić" Gallery by the exhibition of Njegoš documents in the Montenegrin and Russian archives, which represents a mosaic of written testimonies displayed on 34 panels selected by the author Srđan Pejović, Director of Information and Propaganda Activities of the Archives of Montenegro.
Violeta Krivokapić, head of the Nikšić Archive Department, said that the goal of the exhibition is to illustrate and document the various interests, activities and ideas of Petar Dorogi Petrović Njegoš, as much as the scientific form of presentation allows.
Krivokapić pointed out that Njegoš paid great attention to the preservation of archival material and made sure that it was completely preserved.
"Njegoš, as a spiritual head, which is a novelty for that time, hands over archival material to secular jurisdiction and care," she said at a press conference in Nikšić.
Head of the Support Program Coordination Team, Tanja Perišić, presented the contents of the Nikšić Theater's December repertoire and highlighted their appearances at the Festival of Small Scenes in East Sarajevo and the Sarajevo War Theater (SARTR).
She also announced the evening of Maja Perfiljeva, scheduled for December 3rd at the Nikšić Theater, the author of numerous texts - hits of the former Sarajevo Indexes, as well as a song - the anthem of the Bokeh festivities called Bokeška noć.
The repertoire will include the monodrama Actor, say something funny, by Irfan Mensur, as well as an evening with Robert Werner, a member of the Vienna Opera.
Perišić presented that the entrance to half of the program is free, while the tickets for the rest are very affordable, so that as many audiences as possible can visit the Nikšić Theater in December.
As part of the December program, a donor's evening for the restoration of the City Orchestra will be held, for which the initiative was initiated by the Non-Governmental Association Civis Diversus and the Cultural Center Punkt.
Speaking about this initiative, the representative of Punkt, Miljana Peković, said that a cultural center like Nikšić should have its own orchestra, which is why they started collecting funds for its renovation.
The program also includes New Year's concerts by the Zahumlje folklore ensemble and choir, as well as an exhibition of illustrations for the book Krtica i sunce, by academic graphic artist Ilija Nikčević.
"Illustration, as a separate art discipline, deserves to be found in galleries on an equal footing with other artistic expressions, especially today when some established restrictions are being broken," said Nikčević and announced the organization of a panel discussion on the importance of illustration for Montenegro, with a special focus on the education system. .
The cultural development support program, initiated by the Government, was designed as a four-year project, which should result in the improvement of the cultural life of Nikšić.
The Government's Support Program for the Revival of Culture in Nikšić includes all city institutions in the field of creativity, as well as the National Museum, the Music Center, the State Archives, the Central Library "Đurađ Crnojević", the Montenegrin National Theatre, the Royal Zetski Dom Theater and the Montenegrin Cinematheque.
