The concert of the Italian symphony orchestra "Mitteleuropa", with which the prominent Montenegrin pianist Vladimir Domazetović from Bar performed as a piano soloist, held in the large hall of the House of Culture "Vladimir Popović Španac", was the musical event of the post-season festival in Bar.
It is certainly the most attended indoor classical music concert in Bar in this century, which was given an unforgettable dimension by the inspired interpretations of the artists and skillfully selected repertoire for the lucky ones who attended it.
"There was definitely excitement before the performance in my hometown, which is normal every time, and I was really surprised when I saw how many people came. I played in my career in front of many more spectators, but never before this many in the Bar and that's why I especially prefer this experience. I emphasize the cooperation with the great Italian musicians with whom I'm performing in Podgorica on Friday," Domazetović told "Vijesta" after the concert, while receiving congratulations from friends and colleagues.
The concert opened with "Serenade" by the Italian composer Autorino Respiggio, after which the Italians were joined on stage by Domazetović, who played Mozart's legendary "Piano Concerto in C Major No. 21", one of the most famous works of classical music. Finally, "Mitteleuropa" played Schumann's "Symphony b. 1".
The concert is the result of the cooperation of the Friuli Venezia Giulio region, the Embassy of Italy in Montenegro, the Music Academy from Cetinje and JP Cultural Center Bar.
"Mitteleuropa" nurtures the European artistic tradition, and its repertoire includes classical symphonic and chamber music, opera, operetta, musicals, stage and contemporary music. In numerous world halls, the orchestra collaborated with eminent musicians such as Sergei Krylov, Ramin Bahrami, Roberto Fabriđani, Milele Campanella, Bruno Đurana, Louis Lorti, Alexander Lonkvich, Maria Spengler...
The orchestra was conducted by renowned conductors Nikša Bareza, Pascal Rofe, Ticiano Severini, Dmitri Jurovski... The current conductor Giovani Pakor has conducted orchestras throughout Europe.
