The murder of Italian citizen Nikolaj Lipolis, which was committed in Bar 11 years ago, has been solved, the Police Directorate announced. In Italy, five citizens have been charged in connection with this murder.
On October 07, 2009, the owner of a private property in Bar reported to the Bar Security Center that he had noticed a depression on his plot, and that he suspected that it was a place where something had been buried. During the investigation, a corpse and the documents of Lipolis were found.
"The autopsy showed that the death of the person occurred five or six years earlier, that is, in the period 2003-2004, by violent means - using a firearm and a suitable device, during which injuries were found in the area of the head, chest and left shoulder blade", it is stated in press release of UP.
The authenticity of the documents and the identity of Lipolis was confirmed in the communications of Interpol from Podgorica and Rome.
On the basis of police-prosecutor activities on the territory of Montenegro, information exchanged with the Italian police and measures and actions taken by Italian police officers in that country, suspects were identified and detained in Italy.
The competent authority in Leće accused five Italian citizens MC (47), AE (41), EG (41), TB (41) and Đ.L. (46) from Brindisi for the murder of Nikolaj Lipolis.
Previously, the competent court in Leće, on September 26, 2013, issued an order for the deprivation of liberty of several persons in the area of Brindisi due to criminal association within the criminal organization called "Sacra Corona Unita", and in this case these five persons were deprived of their liberty because suspicions that, among other things, they committed the murder of Lipolis in Bar, according to the press release of the UP.
The police administration was informed that in the meantime one of the accused persons was given the status of a cooperating witness in the proceedings.
