The Duodrama of Zagreb's Exit Theater "How do you think I'm not there?!" opened the jubilee 15th International Festival of Actors Nikšić 2018, which lasts until December 2. Filip Juričić and Amar Bukvić evoked the "funny and bitter-sad side of life" in the author's project of Ivica Boban.
The festival was opened by Radivoje Nikčevič, president of the SO Nikšić, who said that these are the days when Nikšić "celebrates and lives theater". He reminded that the Festival, searching for its recognition, changed forms - from the Monodrama Festival, through the One Actor Festival, to the International Actor Festival founded in 2000.
"In times not at all favorable to art and artistic expression, we believed in this festival and its duration. That's why today we have a respectable event that brings together the theater companies of the region and which theater creators and audiences are equally looking forward to," said Nikčević.
Nikčević said that he is convinced that the basic criterion used by the selection team when choosing plays is quality, which will be recognized by the audience and the expert jury.
"In the past 14 editions, the International Festival of Actors has hosted the biggest acting names in the ex-yu space and thus presented all the splendor of acting bravado. It is precisely our festival that celebrates and will celebrate the actor as the bearer of a theatrical expression," said Nikčević.
Tonight, the play "Penelopiad" will be performed on the stage of the Nikšić Theater, which was co-produced by the Tivat Culture Center and April Production Toronto.
