Montenegrin Paralympian, Filip Radović, failed to qualify for the finals of the European Table Tennis Championship for people with disabilities in Vejle, Denmark.
Today, in the semi-final match, he was defeated by Bulgarian Denislav Kodjabashev 3:1, in sets 11:9, 5:11, 11:9 and 11:6.
By placing in the semi-finals, Radović secured a bronze medal.
It is the first medal at a major international competition in the history of Montenegrin Paralympic sports.
Radović and Kodjabašev are partners in doubles, and this year they won several medals at international Open tournaments.
Yesterday, the Montenegrin table tennis player eliminated the third-placed player from the world ranking list, Spain's Jose Manuel Ruiz, 3:0 (11:8, 11:6 and 11:9) in the quarterfinals.
In the group, he defeated Italian Lorenzo Cordu 3:2 (8:11, 11:9, 6:11, 11:5 and 11:6) and Spaniard Jorge Cardone 3:2 (10:12, 12:10, 9:11 , 11:6 and 11:5), and his only defeat was against Ivan Karabek from the Czech Republic 3:0 (11:1, 14:12 and 11:9).
Radović was the youngest participant in the championship, and he competed in the S10 category, in which 16 of the best European table tennis players were registered.
