Annual awards for high artistic results are awarded to members of the artistic ensemble and collaborators who have made the greatest contribution to the aesthetic reach of the Montenegrin National Theatre.

Burzanović pointed out that this recognition is an encouragement and will to continue doing what he loves.

"There are moments in life when someone gives you respect, recognition and reward for what you do and love and gives you strength and will and love to love what you do even more and do it even better. That's how I feel in these moments. In search for the sparks of life that mean life on stage, I will do everything to bring even more spirituality, creativity and love into all my future roles," he said.

Račić thanked the theater for the "nice gesture" that represents recognition for his 40 years of work.

Marunović took the opportunity to congratulate the CNP on its day.

"From these sacred boards, from this stage, we devotees of the goddess Talia, we monks, conspirators of the spirit, lovers of the theater, tonight we celebrate the day of the Montenegrin National Theater. I am honored to say that we are perhaps the most honorable stage in this area in which we live, a place from which the truth can be seen and told, where low passions, greed, bigotry, hatred are recognized, and on the other side, where love, humanity, kindness, honesty are affirmed," said Marunović.

In addition to these main awards, the Honor Guard Orchestra of the Army of Montenegro was also presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, "for good cooperation and selfless contribution to all CNP projects, especially in the play 'Powder Keg'", and the award was received by conductor Mile Belević, and awarded and awards to those who make up the CNP and beyond the stage, i.e. annual awards for the best results achieved in technical, organizational and administrative practice.

The ceremony on the occasion of the Day of the Montenegrin National Theater was opened by director Zorana Kralj reminding that the occasion was right to "follow the good tradition of sharing success with those closest to you".

"In the previous period, the Montenegrin National Theater confirmed its place on the Montenegrin art scene, through the overall repertoire and through three new plays, which, above all, showed the strength and scope of the acting ensemble of the CNP, but also the highest production standards of our theater. Over 45.000 spectators and more than 150 programs performed and realized in CNP, are indicators of another successful year. this house, to which they are unconditionally dedicated; they are an example of a successful and steady duration together, an example of top professionalism," Kralj pointed out and added that, thanks to them, young people "in a short time acquired enviable skills and showed how much they understand and feel all the peculiarities and the specifics of working in the theater".

The artistic director Željko Sošić also addressed the audience, saying that in today's age only "theatrical act remains what it was when it developed from a ritual in ancient Greece several thousand years ago - a unique meeting of the viewer with a live scene on a space called a stage". and recalled the goals of the Montenegrin theater.

"The obligation of our theater is to use dramatic literature and stage scenes to think through the most important themes of our identity and our place in today's civilization in an artistically worthy way. Likewise, it is our obligation to participate in the artistic reflections of the world, man and the modern age through the choice of themes and aesthetic standards. The Montenegrin National Theater, as the supreme cultural institution of the state of Montenegro, has another important mission - to find its way to the most important stages and festivals of Europe and the world. We will be dedicated to these goals, deeply aware of our importance as a national theater, but of our artistic and production potential," said Sošić.

After the awards ceremony, the play "Powder Keg" by Dejan Dukovski, directed by Dejan Projkovski, was performed, which the audience greeted with long applause and a standing ovation after the two-and-a-half hour performance.
