Nikšić: The postman stole money to repay a debt?

The Nikšić police arrested the postman Rajko Jevrić (55) on suspicion of stealing 18 and a half thousand euros.

According to the unofficial information of "Vijesti" from the Nikšić police, Jevrić allegedly stole the money, intended for the payment of pensions and social benefits, a few days ago and disappeared.

The police found the postman Jevrić, but did not find the stolen money.

Jevrić, a long-time postman of the Nikšić Post Office, admitted to embezzlement, the Nikšić police said unofficially.

He allegedly told the police that he used the money to pay off his debts.

The disappearance of the postman and the money was reported to the police by authorities from the Nikšić Post Office. The Post of Montenegro confirmed to "Vijesti" that on August 20, they reported the "disappearance of an employee of the Nikšić regional center because he did not pay off his debt and show up at work."

"The case has been processed by the competent authorities, and what is important is that our users were not harmed and that the Post of Montenegro has paid everyone their pensions and social benefits," the Post of Montenegro told "News" yesterday.

The police brought Jevrić to the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Nikšić, who, after hearing him, did not remand him.
