Several detainees from the Investigation Prison in Spuž continued their hunger strike yesterday, in solidarity with Aleksandar Bokan and Radomir Bigović, who are asking to change the prison cells in which they are now housed.

On Friday, Bokan was placed in the room where Aleksandar Marković is detained, and Bigović was placed in the room where Michael Gregory Ferraris is.

The two allegedly do not agree to the "game" that someone is allegedly setting up for them, according to which they would be declared protected witnesses in proceedings against their current roommates.

Marković and Ferraris were arrested at the end of May, and the police and the prosecutor's office then announced that they were preparing the liquidation of Goran Đuričković from Budva.

Radomir's brother Milovan Bigović told "Vijesta" yesterday that his brother has been on hunger strike for three days "because the protected witness process is being rigged for him".

"This puts a target on him and our family and tarnishes our name... The strike will continue until they remove him from the room where Ferraris is," Milovan Bigović said.

Bokan's wife Tanja told "Vijesti" yesterday that Aleksandar continued his protest and will strike until the administration fulfills his demands.

"On Sunday, they stopped their strike, because they were promised that everything would be resolved today. "Today, no one gives any answer and he, like many other detainees, continued his hunger strike," she said.

Yesterday, the administration of the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (ZIKS) denied the allegations of the Bokan and Bigović families, claiming that no detainees are on hunger strike.

"Even if they strike, they have the right to do so. However, it is not true that any detainee refused food today, and everything is fine and calm in the Remand Prison. ZIKS officials conduct regular activities and act in accordance with the Law and regulations, and not in relation to anyone's expectations. In ZIKS, the wishes of detained persons and their lawyers will not be fulfilled," said yesterday from the administration of the Spuška prison.
