Bolt: I intend to remain number one for the rest of my career

After last night's victory at the meeting in London at 100 meters, with a result of 9,87, the Jamaican Usain Bolt said that he plans to remain number one for the rest of his career.

The Olympic champion and world record holder in the sprint also emphasized that he is ready to win the World Championship, which will be held in Beijing next month.

The famous Jamaican ran 100 meters twice in under 10 seconds on Friday night at the Olympic Stadium in London, showing that he is getting back in shape after his injury.

"I've never been number two, I'm still number one where I intend to stay until I retire," the current two-time world champion told the BBC.

Before the meeting in London, Bolt had run 100 meters only once this year - at the meeting in Brazil in April, when he clocked a modest 10,12 seconds.
