A collection of poems by one of the greatest Montenegrin poets and literary creators, Vitomir Vito Nikolić, The Last Poem in the New Book edition can be found in all City bookstores.
Vitomir Nikolić created in the second half of the XNUMXth century, his oeuvre is diverse, and his style is special.
In most of his poems, the form is secondary: some are shorter and count only one or two stanzas, some are longer. In some, there are regular stanzas characterized by a thoughtful choice of rhyme, while in some, rhyme is absent. His verses exude love, nostalgia, melancholy, irony, feelings of pain. The transitoriness of life, old age and the diseases that old age brings with it, death, suicide are just some of the motifs that appear in Vito's songs. What connects all the poems in this collection is the flood of feelings that emanate from his verses, leaving a special impression on the readers.
"I didn't write poetry to be a famous writer. I wanted, of course, that this poetry would be accepted. But I never really felt that I was famous, but that people understood what I wanted to say. I think that every living person is a poet. A poet is in every human being. Whoever is not a poet is long dead. But only some manage to master the souls of their loved ones," Vitomir Nikolić wrote.
