The trial of the doctors from Bijelo Polje, accused of the infection of four and the death of one baby, begins today in the High Court in that municipality.
Tomislav Jeremić, Zvonko Puletić, Haka Tahirović and Jela Cimbaljević are accused of a serious crime against people's health, i.e. for failure to comply with health regulations for the prevention of a dangerous infectious disease.
The case was assigned to judge Vidomir Bošković.
If proven guilty in court, doctors face a prison sentence of two to 12 years.
