Two wooden shacks and a warehouse of building materials were burned down yesterday in a fire that broke out in a neighborhood near the aluminum plant.
Locals claim that they do not know whose warehouse it is, but that a pensioner with her son lived in the barracks.
The police unofficially informed "Vijesti" that it is suspected that the fire in the settlement near KAP was arson.
The head of the Protection and Rescue Service, Andrija Čađenović, said that at 13.25:XNUMX p.m., the firefighters were notified that the grass was on fire in that area, but that they also saw that the shack was on fire on the spot.
He claims that 12 firefighters with four vehicles localized the fire in an hour and prevented it from spreading to neighboring barracks.
"The barracks were made of almost forty-year-old wood, which is why everything burned down in an instant. A fire truck from the Aluminum Plant helped us put it out. "Čistoća" workers also helped us with two water tanks", said Čađenović to "Vijesta".
"Vijesti" reporters saw yesterday around 15:XNUMX p.m. that only char and ashes remained of the wooden barracks and warehouses, but none of the locals wanted to make statements.
