The Prosecution will investigate whether ZIKS officer Slavko Sekulić, in the Investigation Prison, facilitated unauthorized contacts with detainees Miloš Čujović and Vidoj Stanišić.
This was announced to "Vijesta" from the office of Supreme State Prosecutor Ivica Stanković.
Čujović and Stanišić are responsible for million dollar computer fraud in the same court case.
The information that they were allegedly seeing each other in custody appeared during the disciplinary process, which is being conducted against the officers of the Sekulić Remand Prison.
That procedure was opened after Čujović accused him of extorting several tens of thousands of euros.
"Vijesti" announced that during the disciplinary proceedings, Čujović said that Sekulić allowed him to see his friend on several occasions.
Sekulić denied the accusations, stressing that he only enabled Čujović to indirectly get cigarettes from Stanišić.
"On that occasion, they neither saw nor spoke to each other. I searched the things and it is not true that there was anything illegal in them", said Sekulić at the final session of the Disciplinary Commission.
"The Prosecutor's Office follows with due care the writings of all media in Montenegro, and verifies their statements in every case that indicate grounds for suspicion that there are elements of a criminal offense in the actions of certain persons, which are prosecuted ex officio", said the VDT.
