Gregory Michael Ferraris, with a passport from the Republic of South Africa, came to Budva to kill Goran Đuričković, and he was assisted by Aleksandar Marković from Podgorica. This is claimed by the police and the prosecutor's office, and they announce that the arrest of those two last night will enable them to shed light on some other serious crimes, including perhaps the murder of Saša Marković and Goran Radoman.
"One of the suspects provided a defense and gave the police quality space to get quality data, which would possibly shed light on (other) criminal acts," said prosecutor Vesna Jovićević.
To the question of "Vijesti" - whether it will help them in shedding light on the murders of Saša Marković and Radomani, she answered: "There are certain indications that in some way it can be connected, but it is not certain yet."
The police did not say who hired them and why they allegedly hired them to liquidate the controversial Budva businessman.
Gregori arrived in Budva two days ago and, through Marković, rented a small room in Budva's Babin do.
He introduced himself to the owners of that private accommodation as a tourist from Johannesburg and was looking for a room for one night.
He didn't look suspicious to anyone in Nikola Tesla Street.
“He looked and acted like any other tourist. He spoke exclusively in English. He was looking for a room for one night, and we met him. He didn't look suspicious, a completely normal guy.
Medium height, about 30 years old. That's how it was written in one of his passports - that 1985 was the year. He announced to us that he will extend his stay with us, if he likes it", the owners of the house where the man who was supposed to liquidate Đuričković stayed for a short time told "Vijesta".
The family from Budva said that the tenant of the little room left early on the first day and did not return until late evening.
"Tomorrow he told us that he wanted to extend his stay by another day. He paid, stayed a while, then went out again. We didn't see him again. He spoke to us in English the whole time. In the evening, the police came with a warrant and searched the room. They took his things. He came with a couple of bags", said the owners of the house.
According to unofficial information, inspectors found certain documents, several passports of different countries, as well as photographs of individual Budva residents in Gregorio's bag... Đuričković was on one of them.
Gregori was arrested while traveling from Budva to Kotor, and his support - Marković, in a rented apartment on the bypass.
The head of the criminal police, Milovan Pavićević, announced last night that Marković, helping to prepare the murder, provided his colleague from South Africa with three apartments, a gun, a wardrobe, two vehicles and two motorcycles, license plates that were previously stolen in Budva, mobile phones and SIM cards. .
"Checks regarding the confirmation of GMF's identity are underway, since several travel documents were found with him," Pavićević said.
Prosecutor Jovićević said that the arrested were also planning other murders...
She said that based on the statement of one suspect, it is "quite possible" that they planned to commit these crimes outside the borders of Montenegro.
Chronology
Đuričković's name has been associated with the liquidation of Saša Marković from the beginning, bearing in mind that they have been close friends and godfathers for many years and that they had joint business.
A few hours before he was killed on April 17, Marković was sitting in the "Fišermans" pub, which Đuričković has been managing for years.
They were sitting together then, and the first to leave the bar was Đuričković, who had been living in Saša's house since the New Year, after returning from Spain.
Marković soon followed him, who was mowed down from the machine near the house.
Those in the know claim that it is a showdown between drug clans.
Đuričković returned to Montenegro after 200 kilograms of cocaine and two million euros in cash allegedly magically disappeared in Spain.
Unofficial sources from the police claim that the liquidation of Goran Radoman from Cetinje in Belgrade, as well as the devastating explosion in Podgorica, when Milan Vujotić's armored "Audi" was blown up, are connected to that case.
In recent years, Đuričković worked in the catering business in Budva. His family owns the restaurant Dona kod Nikola, as well as the restaurant Fishermans.
Ten years ago, together with Marković, he also built apartments for the market.
They will not say whether the target of the mercenaries was in Montenegro
Answering the question of how they knew that Đuričković was their target, the head of the crime police said that they established this "on the basis of collected information and evidence"...
He did not want to say whether there is a man in Montenegro whose liquidation they prevented.
"That is not the subject of this conference," he said.
Pavićević said that he will not even answer questions about whether a warrant has been issued for Milan Vujotić and Dalibor Baltić due to the murder of Saša Marković, as reported by the media.
