"Vijesti" journalists Jelena Jovanović and Darvin Murić, as well as photojournalists Savo Prelević and Zoran Đurić, announced yesterday that Stanka Dragojevića Street was closed to traffic during the protest in February last year.
According to them, the demonstrators were arrested when they started singing a song to congratulate Prime Minister Milo Đukanović on his birthday.
This was stated in the continuation of the trial of Marko Milačić, Boban Batrićević, Ninoslav Kaluđerović, Irena Delja, Danilo Mrvaljević, Miro and Milka Radević and Aljoša Turović, who are accused of disobeying the order of the police, thereby allegedly endangering the flow of traffic in the center of Podgorica.
Jovanović said that she was reporting on the protests that day and said that she remembers masked men targeting the police and the Government building... This, she said, happened before the arrest of the defendants, but the attackers were not taken into custody at the time.
"After that, the protest continued peacefully, I remember that the accused were sitting on the street, and there were about a hundred people around them. The street was blocked to traffic. Even a policeman started to hit me with a baton and was yelling something, while I was trying to explain to him that I was reporting on the event. They pushed the people who were standing around towards the park and after that they started arresting the accused", said Jovanović.
Prelevic said that one of the policemen approached while the accused were sitting and singing and asked the journalists to move away, because there would be an intervention...
When asked by judge Goran Đuković whether he heard the order of the police, Prelevic said that it seemed to him that one of the uniformed officers then ordered - "to get out of the street or they will take them out".
When Kaluđerović was asked if he remembered how much time had passed since the policeman said that and started arresting him, Prelevic stated that no more than two or three minutes had passed.
On the recordings that were reviewed earlier, it can be seen that the policeman issues the order to "arrest" at the moment when the accused say the name of Đukanović in the song.
The police officers said that they had to detain because the traffic was obstructed.
