The best Montenegrin judoka Srđan Mrvaljević was stopped in the 1st round of the Grand Prix in Zagreb. In the category up to 81 kilograms, he lost to the vice-champion of Asia, the Lebanese Nacif Elias, who then defeated the bronze medalist from the Olympic Games, the Canadian Antoine Valois Fortier, who defeated Mrvaljević in London.
Nikola and Nebojsa Gardašević (- 73 kg) had an excellent performance. Both of them celebrated in the first fights, Nebojša over the Australian Džeko Bensted and Nikola over the Czech Jakub Ječminek, but they could not go any further.
Silver in Zagreb, Mongolian Hashbatar stopped Nebojsa, and Nikola Viktor Svortsov, a Russian with a United Arab Emirates passport.
