Jugoslav Perović (59) did not want to present a defense and defended himself from the accusation that he killed his friend Dragana Pajović, who was 20 years his junior, by remaining silent before the prosecutor.
Vanja Rakonjac, the investigating judge of the High Court, ordered a 30-day detention of the man from Nikšić yesterday, due to the suspicion that he committed a criminal offense - serious murder in a brutal manner.
The murder took place in one of the rooms of the restaurant-motel "Apolon" in Pljevlja. Pajović was found dead, and the marks on her neck indicate that the girl was strangled with a rope.
The two, it was said unofficially to "Vijesti", were allegedly in a multi-year emotional relationship.
The girl's body was found by inspectors in the room that Perović rented, after her parents reported her missing.
The door to the room rented by the arrested man from Nikšić a few days ago was locked from the inside, and the police assume that Perović escaped through the window after committing the crime.
Dragana studied English. She was buried yesterday at the city cemetery in Ravni.
