The investigative judge of the Basic Court in Beran, Dragan Dašić, ordered custody of up to 30 days for the five football players accused of match-fixing.
"After the hearing, Milovan Nikolić, Mihail Radulović, Novak Rajković, Milenko Nerić and Stefan Lutovac were ordered to be detained for up to 30 days due to the risk of influencing witnesses, they are accused of having committed the criminal offense of criminal association, Article 401, paragraph 2 in relation to paragraph 1 and of paragraph 7 in conjunction with the criminal offense of arranging the outcome of the competition, paragraph 244, paragraph 3 in connection with paragraph 1," said Dašić.
Head of the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Directorate of the MUP Milovan Pavićević said yesterday that football players suspect that by arranging the outcome of the matches, they obtained an illegal financial benefit of around 75.000 euros for themselves or others.
