Pass Manit and After Shain released the album "Grad/Local"

Nikšić rappers After Shain and Pass Manit released the album "Grad/Lokal" which can be listened to on the YouTube service. The album was previously announced with two singles - "Disco Inferno" and "Stars from the ceiling". The collaboration between the two rappers began in early 2013, when, as Pass Manit says, they realized after a winter freestyle that they could easily understand and complement each other. Then "Disco Inferno" was created, and then work on the album began.

"The first material was created in March 2014, and until January of this year the songs were developed. The album was unreleased for a long time, and during that time we recorded, revised the lyrics and music, so it matured over time," says Marko Janjušević aka Pass Manit for "Vijesti" and adds that the album was recorded in Trebinje, while the rapper was studying there, and of course in Nikšić. He also explained how the previous single was created.

"The text of the song is, at first glance, totally unrelated, and since the song does not deal with anything concrete, and does not even have a chorus, we could not come up with a title. Then we looked up and experienced a prophecy: we saw the stars on the ceiling, which I looked at when I couldn't fall asleep," said the rapper, who is also the frontman of the Nikšić hardcore/reggae band Manitou.

The album "Grad/Lokal" was released for the Belgrade rap label My People. There were seven songs on it, with the already mentioned "Disco Inferno" as a bonus track, and the only guest will be Dedduh from Who See Klapa. The mix and music is by Pass Manit, except for one instrumental done by Coa.

"The concept of the album is a satirical questioning of the influence of various elements of contemporary urban everyday life, which in their own way fill the life of an average young man. The album is full of humor, but the story, on the other hand, is extremely serious and difficult, and revolves around the perception of the city, women, technology , clubs, screens, media, drugs, alcohol, festivals, love, freedom, adrenaline, the state, the church and various other elements that are directly or indirectly involved in people's lives today," explains Janjušević.

In addition to the collaboration with Shaina, he is currently working on a solo album "Zion", on which he says that the influences of dub, ambient, trip hop will be intertwined...

"Half of the album will be instrumental. I've been working on it for almost two years, and I hope it will come out in the spring. And I'm announcing Manitou's album, which I hope will see the light of day this year. We've prepared the material and hope to enter the studio soon. We're working a lot here in Nikšić, so we have yet to start the bombing. Peace everyone!", he says.
