Thirty-eight-year-old Andrija Mrdak from Baran, an associate of the late Armin Musa Osmanagić, who was mentioned as the leader of one of the two strongest Bar clans, was killed on Thursday, December 25, at the very entrance to the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions in Spuz (ZIKS).
Mrdak was considered Osmanagić's first man. He was also with him when Osmanagić was killed, in September of this year in Bar in front of Osmanagić's restaurant Savoja. The killers have not yet been found. Security experts claimed at the time that the manner of his execution indicated that professionals, possibly the services, were involved in the murder.
The killing of Mrdak is believed to be a classic clash of clans. Mrdak was killed while entering the prison, where he went to visit his brother Nenad Mrdak, detained for the murder of thirty-one-year-old Mirko Mićić, a member of the opposing Bar clan led by the late Luka Đurović. Mićić was killed on May 27 this year near the Topolica Hotel in Bar.
Two masked attackers approached Mrdak on a motorcycle, who was heading towards the ZIKS registration desk, and fired several fatal shots at him from close range. The attackers then fled in the direction of Podgorica.
