Yesterday, the Karate Association of Montenegro wrapped up another great competition season by awarding cups, awards, diplomas, plaques and certificates of appreciation. By the decision of the Board of Directors, 2014-year-old Jelena Maksimović from KK Omladinac was declared the best karate player in 19, who added to the European senior bronze, seven more medals from the European, Mediterranean and Balkan championships in senior and junior senior competitions. Maksimović is also the state champion in fights up to 61 kilograms.

The best karate player is Almir Cecunjanin. The Budućnosti competitor is the champion of the Mediterranean and the Balkans, and the most promising karate player is Mario Hodžić. This year, Junior Omladinca was third among cadets at the European Championship in Lisbon, and he also won bronze in the junior competition at the Balkan Championship. Hodžić has gold and silver from the world championships in the age of cadets and juniors.

The fact that out of 46 medals from the international championships, Omladinc karate players won 22, earned this club from Podgorica recognition for the best in Montenegro.

"It was a difficult year behind us, because every election is like that. Nevertheless, the leadership headed by me will make an effort to establish unity in this sport. And for this leadership, competitors are the biggest motivation and will do everything to develop karate and bring medals and valuable During this year, the presidents of the World and European Karate Federation visited Montenegro, and at the beginning of next year, the president of the Karate Federation of Germany will also come, with whom we will establish joint camps, of course with the help of our great collaborators from the karate federations of Serbia and Croatia, of which we have help in every action", emphasized Dragan Šakotić, president of KSCG.
