Podgorica - Yesterday, the start of the trial of those accused of buying identity cards was postponed again, on the eve of the last local elections in Podgorica - this time the police did not comply with the court's order to forcibly bring the accused Martina Kovačević.
Judge Željka Jovović postponed the trial until January 19, and will send an urgent request to the Police Administration to act according to her order.
Kovačević, Tom and Slobodan Čađenović, Bojan Bulatović, Aleksandar Keković, Azemina Arović, Damira Harović, Ulejma Kapisazović, Milena Martinović, Anđelija Harović, Jovanka Gojković are on trial for violating the freedom of choice when voting.
A fine or a prison sentence of up to three years is provided for this criminal act.
According to the indictment, Keković, Arovićeva, Arović and Bulatović illegally influenced others not to vote in the local elections in Podgorica on May 25.
The other defendants, he writes, accepted a financial benefit not to vote in the elections in the capital.
