Judge Nada Rabrenović accepted the proposal of the defense of the six defendants for giving a false alibi to Ivan Bušković, that the head of the criminal police in Podgorica Branislav Živković and the police officer Petar Šćepanović be heard in the continuation of the process.
The two should make a statement about the procedure for identifying Bušković in the police, whom the "Vijesti" journalist Olivera Lakić identified as the person who physically attacked him in front of the building where he lives. Nikola Bušković, Ivan Bušković's brother and their comrades Dragoslav Perazić, Ivan Siništaj, Borko Čađenović, Branko Bašović and Sim Đurović are on trial for providing a false alibi, that is, on May 28, 2012, they gave a false statement in front of the court and testified that Ivan Bušković 7 On March 2012, from 21:22 to XNUMX:XNUMX, he played football with them. It was at that time that Lakić was attacked.
Defense lawyers believe that they are legally bindingcourt's verdict by which Bušković was convicted for the attack on Lakićeva is not a holy book, and that the defense also indicated in that procedure that the recognition by the police was illegal.
"These people are accused of a serious criminal offense, and the facts related to that criminal offense must be re-established," said lawyer Branislav Tapušković.
Prosecution lawyer Vukas Radonjić pointed out that the credibility of the final court verdict, on which the indictment in this proceeding is based, cannot be called into question by hearing witnesses. "Then it was established that the record of recognition is completely legally valid, and the court rejected the proposal ofthe defense that such evidence should be separated from the file", reminded Radonjić.
The trial continues on February 12. The criminal offense of giving a false statement is punishable by three months to five years in prison.
Although Bušković was legally convicted for the attack on Lakić, the motive was never established. In the final verdict, judge Željka Jovović stated that the "football players" had given false testimony, after which the prosecution filed an indictment.
Since February 2011, Lakić has been the target of harassment and threats, and later of physical attack.

Yesterday, the judge also stated that after the interrogation of the police officers, she will decide on the eventual interrogation of Lakićeva and Bušković, whose interrogation was also requested by the defense.
Yesterday, Tapušković pointed out that in several cases, people were absolved of responsibility for endangering Lakić's safety, and that those cases should also be inspected.
He cited the final verdicts acquitting Milan Grgurović for falsely reporting that he had threatened Lakićeva, the rejection of the indictment against Sinistaj and Dejan Čurović for endangering the safety of the journalist, and the first-instance acquittal of Milenko Rabrenović for endangering Lakićeva's safety.
