The winner of the international 35th "Podgorica Liberation Cup" is karate club Bar. In the competition of 46 teams and 727 competitors, the chosen ones of the captain of Budućnost and coach of KK Bar, Almir Cecunjanin, collected 140 points, so the big cup of the main sponsor "Universal Capital Bank" went to Bar. Omladinac from Podgorica earned the second place with 96 points, while the third place went to the Herceg Novi Karate Association with 59 points. The Belgrade Karate Association had four points less. "Well done to my competitors, they confirmed that they are a "punishment expedition" because they celebrated in all tournaments this year," the Cecun resident was proud. And KK Budućnost, as the host, was not in the competition for the trophy, in a competition where the right to perform was for ages from juniors to younger seniors. "The competition was excellent and thanks to the Municipal Secretariat for Sports, the Karate Association of Podgorica and our club, this tournament is getting better every year," said Budućnosti director Rajko Vujošević.
He presented plaques to the club's best competitors this year, Cecunjanina, sisters Biserka and Tijana Radulović and Nina Ražnatović, while Mila Mraković was the most successful in the younger age groups. The coaches of KK Budućnost, Dragojub Kopitović and Dr. Nela Tatar, also received awards.
Prizes, awards and sports nutrition packages were presented to the best Montenegrin karate players by the director of Universal Capital Bank Predrag Drecun and Vladan Šljukić, director of the company "Proteini.si". Packages of sports supplements were given to the most trophy-winning Montenegrin karate players this season, Cecunjanin, Ana Drašković, Jelena Maksimović, Mario Hodžić, the Radulović and Ražnatović sisters. Along with the 35th Cup of Liberation, the 2nd High School Karate Championship was held on the six tatami mats of SC "Morača". 45 karate players performed and in the overall standings the "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium celebrated, ahead of the "Mirko Vešović" School of Economics, while the third place was shared by the "Ivan Uskoković" Mechanical School and the "Vaso Aligrudić" Electrical School.
