The police are checking whether there were criminal acts in the business between the Danilovgrad Municipal Company and DPS councilor Veselin Mitrović, "Vijesti" has learned.
Inspectors from the Department for Organized Crime started the control after "Vijesti" published the plan of the local authorities there - to build a new cemetery on the plot for which they paid the DPS councilor 120.000 euros.
The same source told the journalist that the land in Velje polje was purchased without a prior valuation and determination of public interest. The investigation was ordered by the special prosecutor for organized crime, Đurđina Ivanović.
The complete work regarding the sale of the land was agreed in the office of the Danilovgrad cadastre, and the procedure was led by the head of that office, Dragan Džaković.
Three of Mitrović's plots - with a total area of 14.721 square meters - were expropriated at the request of the director of JP Komunalno Zdravko Simović.
Apart from the Decision of the Municipal Assembly of Danilovgrad on the adoption of the Spatial-Urban Plan, the entire remaining work was carried out in the midst of the pre-election campaign.
According to unofficial information from "Vijesti" from the Real Estate Administration, Džaković, during the expropriation of the plot, "saw through his fingers" to the non-fulfillment of several items stipulated by the Law.
"The director of communal services submitted a proposal for expropriation to the Real Estate Administration based on the Decision on the adoption of the PUP. In the proposal, he explained "that he considers that the public interest is determined by that document". Džaković accepted that proposal and without assessing the value of the land, he accepted their agreement on the price. The funds for the payment of that plot were not deposited into the account of JP Komunalno, but Simonović said during the discussion that the loan would be approved," said the reporter for "Vijesti" at the time.
He also said that Džaković allowed Komunalno to be registered in the cadastral data as the owner of the plot, before, in accordance with the decision on expropriation, they paid the money to Mitrović.
