The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Ranko Krivokapić, sent a congratulatory message to the academic sculptor from Kolašin, Miodrag Šćepanović, on the occasion of winning the bronze medal for sculpture at this year's prestigious Salon of French artists "Grand Palais" in Paris.
"The news of another one of your world successes made me particularly happy and proud, because your creativity makes Montenegro artistically great - beyond its borders, worldwide," the congratulatory message states.
"Creating sculptures with subtle lines from Montenegrin raw stone is a kind of alchemy. Your works carry one of the most beautiful messages to the world from little Montenegro, that this karst of ours is only a surface that covers a noble and warm soul".
In the end, Krivokapić states that Šćepanović's creativity is a contribution to the Montenegrin artistic heritage, but also a call to the state to support and help artists more strongly "because culture and art are the being of a nation and its spiritus movens".
