The lawyer called the father of the deceased a mutt

Lawyer Kasim Dizdarević yesterday called Vladimir Šoškić, father of the late Miroslav, a mutt.

At the beginning of yesterday's main trial for the death of that twenty-two-year-old Beran, there was a heated discussion between the defense attorney of the accused Željko Bojić and Šoškić.

After Šoškić told the lawyer "not to thrash", he retorted, addressing the judge: "I am asking you to protect me from these mutts".

Miroslav Šoškić disappeared on December 17, 2008, fleeing from the police, and later his lifeless body was found in Lim.

In the first official version of his suffering, he allegedly drowned in Lima, and all the injuries to his head and body, according to expert witness Dragana Čukić, were the result of hitting rocks and stones in the water.

The indictment, however, followed the findings of Dr. Miodrag Šoć, whose expert opinion established that the death was of a violent nature.

According to the indictment, Bojić seriously injured Šoškić and, holding his hand, inflicted injuries on his face and head, probably with a gun...

Čukić said yesterday that before the autopsy began, she had no information that it was a fight, and that, even after the information received from the investigating judge, it was not possible to conclude that Šoškić had been previously beaten.

She stated that the mentioned injuries could have occurred "during the process of jumping into the water." When asked by lawyer Drago Konatar - where did she get the information that there was a jump into the water, Čukić said that she concluded this from the information received from the investigating judge.

She added that none of the experts who later dealt with the case described the injuries differently, but only differed in their opinions about the origin.

Čukić said that Šoškić's injuries occurred immediately and in a very short time before the drowning or during the agony itself - the drowning.

Čukić: Forensic medicine does not know Šoč's statements

Čukić said that the forensic medicine does not know some details that were presented by Šoć after the second autopsy.

"Specifically, about the fracture of the right temple, we discussed at the forensic medical committee and after the exhumation, Dr. Šoć claimed that it was a pressed fracture, and I said it was not, because I did the autopsy on the man. However, although he claimed that it was, Dr. Šoć later claimed that it was not a pressed fracture and that it appeared to him, which was also confirmed by the forensic medical board from Belgrade. On the other hand, Šoć's statement that one loses consciousness after brain contusions is not true at all. The professional literature states that these are serious injuries, but that people can move and take certain actions.
