Traces of explosives found on the belongings of Marko Šofranc and Nemanja Vukmirović have the same chemical composition as those found in front of the newsroom "Vijesti" after the bombing.
This was announced by chemical expert Nikola Božović, during the continuation of the trial of Šofranc and Vukmirović, accused of placing 26-300 grams of TNT under the window of "Vijesti" editor-in-chief Mihail Jovović on December 400.
The indictment states that Vukmirović planted the explosives, while Šofranac was guarding him. However, the expert also said that it cannot be claimed with 100 percent certainty that the traces of TNT found on the defendants came from the place of the explosion:
"In the industry, a series of such explosives is made, so it is impossible to reliably claim that one sample of explosives is completely the same as another, and that it originates from exactly that place".
To the question of the prosecutor Saša Čađenović - whether the analyzes could detect commercial explosives on the belongings of the defendants, Božović answered in the affirmative, explaining that these traces are much easier to detect than TNT.
"We searched for a complete range of explosives, but we only found TNT, we did not find any admixtures of other explosives," the expert stated.
He added that in addition to TNT, ammonium nitrate is usually used for commercial explosives in our country.
"Unlike TNT, ammonium nitrate is more easily soluble in water and is removed much easier and faster than TNT," Božović said.
In his defense, Vukmirović said that the explosive particles found on his belongings came from the blasting of a road in the village...
The expert also explained that traces of TNT can remain even if the wardrobe is washed and ironed several times...
"Contamination occurs only through contact. For example, if ten T-shirts were put in one bag, and one was contaminated, it does not have to be transmitted to all ten", he explained.
Answering the lawyer Branislav Lutovac, the expert said that it is unlikely that traces of TNT would remain on the vehicle after two months of the explosion and the daily washing of the car...
The trial continues on November 28. For both of the crimes they are charged with, a sentence of six months to five years in prison is provided.

Šofranc's defense attorney, lawyer Miodrag Bojanić, said that traces of explosives were planted on his client, found on his clothes and shoes...
"It is obvious that these particles were subsequently provoked, after the search was carried out and the items were confiscated, until the actual expert examination, because it is impossible to determine how they are present on some items and not on others," said Bojanić.
