The Grand Prize of the Montenegrin National Theater (CNP) for 2014 was awarded to actor Tihomir Stanić for the role of Milovan Đilas in the play "Everyman Đilas", the Council of the CNP decided.
"Tihomir Stanić builds the character of Milovan Đilas in a sophisticated, emotionally deep and very convincing manner, and offers the audience an example of the courage of the search for freedom," the CNP press release states. "Stanić in the role of Milovan Đilas achieves an exceptional effect and gives his special acting stamp in the creation of stage-poetic truth that follows the author's concept of the play 'Everyman Đilas' based on the text and directed by Radmila Vojvodić".
The CNP Council also awarded annual awards for high artistic results, which will be awarded to Ana Vučković, for the role of Đilas' wife in the play "Everyman Đilas"; Gorana Marković, for the role of Suspect in the play "Everyman Đilas", and the role of Mother or Violoncello in the play "Allegretto Albania"; and Karmen Bardak, for the role of Mima in the play "Njegoš i ja", and the role of the Artist in the play "Everyman Đilas".
The "Velimir Bucko Radonjić" scholarships, which are awarded to young authors for significant results achieved in the field of scenography and fine arts, were awarded to graphic designer Snežana Pupović, and costume designers Lina Leković and Ivana Murišić.
The CNP certificate of appreciation for 2014 is awarded to the French Institute of Montenegro.
