Darko Pešukić, accused of violent behavior, said yesterday that he was sorry for beating nine-year-old JP
He told the Basic Court in Podgorica that he learned it out of anger, because he thought that the boy had hit his two-year-old daughter.
“I took my daughter out to play. I was drinking coffee in a nearby bar, when suddenly I saw that the boy hit. Because of the bench that was in front of me, I didn't see how he hit it, it seemed like a foot to me," said Pešukić.
He added that the daughter then started towards him, followed by the boy who told him Chiko, I didn't hit her hard. He also said that he was scared when he saw his daughter covered in blood.
“I reached down, opened her mouth and saw that her teeth were broken. I was in shock, I hit him twice on the head with my open fist. He put his hands on his head, and I hit him twice more in the same way on his hands," admitted Pešukić.
Yesterday, the Court also watched a video from the scene of the attack, which shows how the boy, while playing soccer, accidentally pushed Pešukić's daughter, and then Pešukić hit the boy on the head as he fell. Pešukić, you can see further on in the video, goes to his daughter, and then catches up with the boy again and hits him again.
Pešukić commented that he did not remember the details due to the shock, but that he was sure that he did not hit the boy with his fists.
In the report on the nine-year-old's injuries, it is written that Pešukić punched him at least twice.
The trial continues on November 14, when the medical expert is scheduled to be heard. Ma. B.
Two different criminal records
Judge Nenad Vujanović will ask the Ministry of Justice to explain whether Darko Pešukić has been convicted.
At yesterday's hearing, Pešukić handed over to Judge Vujanović the extract from the criminal records, in which it is written that he has not been convicted.
In July of this year, an extract was submitted to the court in which it is stated that the accused has been convicted several times.
