The Appellate Court of Montenegro confirmed the first-instance acquittals of the High Court in Podgorica against Vladimir M. Roganović and Dražen Čađenović, that together with Duško Roganović, they killed Marko Vesnić.
Duško N. Roganović from Herceg Novi, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the first-instance verdict for the murder of "Delija" fan leader Marko P. Vesnić from Belgrade and the wounding of Ivan Marković in Igalo, was reduced to eight years by the decision of the Court of Appeal.
"The judgment of the Appellate Court of Montenegro rejected as unfounded the appeal of the High State Prosecutor in Podgorica and confirmed the judgment of the High Court in Podgorica dated March 25.03.2014, XNUMX, in the part in which the accused Roganović Duško and Vlaović Goran were declared guilty, as well as in the part of the same verdict in which the accused Roganović Vladimir and Čađenović Dražen acquitted.
Also, the appeals of the defendants' defense attorneys regarding the decision on criminal sanctions were accepted, and in that part the trial verdict was changed in such a way that the accused Roganović Duško was sentenced to eight years in prison for the criminal offense of aggravated murder, while the accused Vlaović was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment for criminal helping the perpetrator of the crime, after the crime has been committed, a conditional sentence is imposed, which is taken as a fixed prison sentence for one year and at the same time determines that the sentence will not be carried out if the accused does not commit a new crime within three years, it is stated in a statement signed by Milena Đaletić, independent advisor for public relations of the Court of Appeal.
The first-instance verdict of the High Court was pronounced by the criminal panel of judge Ratko Ćupić, who, among other things, said in the explanation of the verdict that it was proven that Duško Roganović was armed with a gun, fired several shots at Vesnić, which missed him, and when he approached him while he was sitting on bench, fired two more shots that ricocheted and fatally wounded Vesnić.
