Gvozdenović is on trial in Bar for harmful water

In the Basic Court of Bar, a criminal case was initiated against the owner of Villa "Lara" Vasilij Gvozdenović, due to the poisoning of students from Podgorica in his building.

Gvozdenović is on trial for the production and placing on the market of harmful foodstuffs... According to the indictment, in May 2011 he put on the market water from the spring and water from the water supply network that was harmful to people's health, as a result of which there was poisoning of children who were attending recreational classes in Čanj.

In the Basic Court in Podgorica, there is a parallel lawsuit initiated by the parents of the poisoned students of the "Vladimir Nazor" Elementary School, who are demanding over half a million euros in compensation for material and non-material damages for 100 children who stayed in Čanje.

The hearing in the court in Podgorica was postponed to October 16 yesterday for the testimony of a financial expert on the payments made by the children for their stay in Bar, as well as Gvozdenović's giro account. The criminal proceedings at the Bar continue next week.

The Ministry of Health previously suspended the misdemeanor proceedings against Gvozdenović, because they considered that the action described in the request for initiation of misdemeanor proceedings was not a misdemeanor. After that, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar initiated criminal proceedings.

Despite everything, Villa "Lara" is working smoothly and children are still staying in the building as part of "School in Nature".
