Bar police seized more than 1,7 thousand packs of cigarettes and about 31,2 kilograms of tobacco, worth about 28 thousand euros, at the Green Market in that city.
On Thursday, the police, in cooperation with the Tax Administration, and with the aim of preventing illegal trade in excise goods, controlled sales stands at Zelena market in Bar.
"On that occasion, 1.786 packs of cigarettes of various types and about 31,2 kilograms of cut raw tobacco were found and confiscated. The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar was informed about the discovery of goods that were intended to be placed on the market, as suspected, outside of the legally defined commodity flows," the Police Administration announced.
Charges will be filed against the persons from whom the goods were confiscated.
