Bolt: It is nonsense that I insulted the Commonwealth Games

Jamaica's Usain Bolt denied today that he spoke offensively about the Commonwealth Games.

The Olympic champion and world record holder in the sprint called the British press writing nonsense that he allegedly said of the Commonwealth Games that they were "a bit sr..." and that he "didn't have fun in Glasgow at all".

Island media also reported today that Bolt told reporters that "the Olympics are a better competition."

"It's nonsense, I ask journalists not to write lies to sell newspapers," Bolt said on Twitter.

The six-time Olympic champion runs in the 4x100m relay at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Friday.
