Financial and economic expert Srđan Pupovac found that customs officer Boro Jovanić owes Prva banka over 30.000 euros for a home loan, which he took from the prime minister's brother Aco Đukanović's bank in November 2006.
First Bank sued Jovanić, as well as the guarantors Saša Vujošević and Draginja Jeretin, because they did not repay the debt on the housing loan.
Yesterday, Judge Sonja Drašković postponed the hearing until September 25, because the defendants requested a postponement, in order to get better acquainted with the expert's findings and opinion.
Boro Jovanić, the brother of the President of the Commercial Court Blaž Jovanić and for some time Aco Đukanović's driver, was previously convicted of accepting bribes as an employee of the Customs Administration.
Although the Law on Civil Servants and State Employees stipulates that only unconvicted persons can perform work in the public service, Jovanić was reinstated after the President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović, amnestied him for part of his sentence.
Vujanović pardoned him allegedly because of his social status, with the explanation that he takes care of his family with 150 euros, although "Vijesti" then established that, in addition to his work as a civil servant, he also lives from his private business.
