Kolašin: About fifteen cars were damaged with baseball bats

For now, unknown persons broke the windshields of about fifteen cars in the innermost center of Kolašin in the night between Thursday and Friday.

The vehicles that were damaged were in the parking lots in front of the Municipality, the Basic Court and the "professor's" building.

According to unofficial information from the Kolasin police, the windshields on all vehicles were damaged.

"According to operational data, it was done by a group of guys an hour after midnight. The glass was broken, most likely, with baseball bats. The vandalism was recorded by video surveillance cameras, and the footage is currently being analyzed. It is most likely a group of hanged guys, who randomly broke the windows of the cars they were passing by," the police told "Vijesti".

Dragić Šćepanović, who lives next to the Basic Court building, says that during the night his car is parked on the street at the very entrance to his yard.

"I went out around eight o'clock in the morning and I had something to see. I didn't report it to the police, because they were already on the ground as many other vehicles were damaged, so they were making reports. Two more were parked right next to my car. I hope that this time the police will be effective in discovering the perpetrators," he said, reminding that it is not the first time that hooligans destroy citizens' property.

Tenants of the "professor's" building, in whose parking lot seven vehicles were damaged, say they did not hear anything during the night. They appealed to the police to discover the perpetrators as soon as possible and "finally protect the property of Kolašinac from the rampage of vandals".

A similar thing happened in December last year, when, as the police said at the time, a three-member group of masked guys with baseball bats destroyed three cars. Great material damage was done to the cars of Goran Vlahović, parked in the very center of the city, Danijela Vukićević and Voj Bulatović in Smajlagića Polje. The police have not yet revealed who did it.
