Miroslav Ćiro Blažević has no dilemma - selector Niko Kovač is to blame for the elimination of Croatia at the World Cup.
"The selector is to blame for everything. I was to blame for everything when I was in that position. If the players don't play, it means that the selector didn't create the climate for them to play! Let's be clear, I'm for Kovac, but I'm against Davor Šuker! How you can let a man drive a plane with the Croatian national team, and he's never even driven a car!? When did I say that the players were to blame?! Never, I was to blame! If only Kovač had taken Igor Pamić with him, then he would said what needs to be done," said Blažević and added that Croatia lost the duel with Mexico in aerial duels.
"How did Kovač not register Anto Rebić's strength earlier? That guy has a place on any part of the field, because he can make a surplus. What kind of Pranjić? He is not allowed to play, not even because of his hairstyle," said Blažević in his own style.
