Four world medals for our students

With the defeat in the first round against Brazil, the Montenegrin team said goodbye to the university world champion title won in Bratislava in 2010, so our selection ended the 9th World University Championship in Bar with four medals. Our team opened the match with Ljubiša Mihailović's victory Brazil (3:0), so that the favorite of the home audience, Jozo Dabović, would win a draw in the second match with a mavasi at the last second. After the tied results of the matches between Danilo Lučić and Stefan Karadžić, Filip Vujadinović was supposed to secure the triumph on the fifth board. However, Vujadinović was defeated exactly 3:0, so it was up to the world student heavyweight champion, Lucic, to decide. Lučić - faced with injuries - did not succeed. The gold was won by Iran, which beat Macedonia 3:2 in the final. In addition to Lučić's gold, bronze was won by Ana Drašković in the fights up to 50 kilograms in Bar, and Biserka Radulović was third individually in the categories and in the women's team with her sister Tijana and Nina Ražnatović. FISU representative Malumbet Relete handed over the FISU flag to the next host, Braga, Portugal, while the Student Sports Association of Montenegro was awarded for its excellent organization.
