The second independent exhibition of the academic sculptor Lana Bokan, called "Tabačina", will be opened tomorrow, August 31, in the City Gallery in Kotor.
And this exhibition of Bokanova is dedicated to the ancient city and Tabačina, the place of the artist's childhood, which has been a market place since ancient times, and got its name from the tanning of leather - tabanja.
Lana Bokan was born in Kotor in 1965. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje, in the class of Predrag Milačić, MA, and her master's degree in Sarajevo, in the class of Prof. Dr. Besim Spahić and MSc Darko Sobota in 2017. So far, Bokanova has organized an independent exhibition called "Wardrobe" in 2017, participated in the Kotor Festival of Light 2017, and in the same year received the award for the best art work created in Kotor.
