The World Football Federation has increased the prize fund for participants of the World Cup in Brazil to 422 million euros, which is two million more than four years ago in South Africa.
The world champion gets 25,7 million, and entering the finals guarantees 18,3 million.
The third-place winner will receive 16,1 million, while the fourth-placed team will receive 14,6.
The national teams that will finish in the group at the championship will return home with 5,8 million each.
Placement in the eighth final brings 6,6, and entering the quarterfinals 10,2 million.
FIFA, as reported by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian agency Onasa, has also increased the fund for the clubs from which the players who will play at the World Cup come to 50 million.
It also provided 70 million for damages in case of injuries.
FIFA's total income from the World Cup in Brazil will be around 3,6 billion, and according to experts, the costs will be around 1,7 billion.
