The scorer of the only goal in the match was Bruno Alves in the 90th minute.
Until the start of the World Cup, the Portuguese will play one more friendly match, on Tuesday against the Irish national team.
At the World Cup, Portugal will play in Group G against Germany, USA and Ghana.
For Mexico, on the other hand, the match with Portugal was the last test before the World Cup, where they will have Cameroon as opponents in Group A. Brazil and Croatia.
Greece was better than Bolivia 2:1, in a friendly match played in New Jersey.
The goals for Greece were scored by Panagiotis Kone in the 21st minute and Kostas Kacuranis in the 54th minute, while Rudi Cardoso scored the only goal for Bolivia in the 70th minute.
It was the last test for the Greeks before the World Cup in Brazil, where they were placed in group C, in which their opponents will be Colombia, Ivory Coast and Japan.
Finally, in a friendly match in Chester (Philadelphia), the national teams of Costa Rica and Ireland played to a draw - 1:1.
Ireland took the lead with a goal from Kevin Doyle in the 18th minute, and Celso Borges equalized in the 64th from the penalty spot.
It was the last test for the Costa Rica national team before the World Cup in Brazil, where they will play in group D against Uruguay, Italy and England.
The World Championship starts on June 12 and ends on July 13.
