Three girls were killed and one was injured in a serious traffic accident that happened on Friday at 16.55:XNUMX in the town of Dromira, on the highway Kolašin - Podgorica.
The victims Milica Stanišić, Jelena Milosavljević and Dragana Lalović were in a "Ford Fiesta" car with Cetinje license plates.
The police unofficially told "Vijesta" that the first details of the investigation indicate that the vehicle was driven by Milijana Tiodorović.
According to the same "Vijesti" source, Tiodorović lost control of the vehicle, which was moving from the direction of Kolašin towards Podgorica, for unknown reasons.
The "Ford" crossed over to the opposite lane and landed in the Morača canyon more than 100 meters deep. According to unofficial information, the vehicle swayed for a few moments on one of the rocks and then fell into the river.
Tiodorovic was thrown from the vehicle before the car landed in the canyon, which probably saved her life.
After the accident, she was transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro, where she was diagnosed with minor physical injuries.
Her health condition is stable and out of danger, the Clinical Center of Montenegro announced.
Divers pulled out the lifeless bodies from the car, which were delivered to the Pathology Department of the Clinical Center on Friday evening around 20:XNUMX p.m.
After the accident, Deputy State Prosecutor Miroslav Turković and a traffic expert came to the scene and conducted an investigation.
Traffic on that part of the highway was closed while the investigation was in progress, and then it took place alternately in one lane.
According to "Vijesti" information, the injured girls worked as nurses at the Clinical Center of Montenegro, and they were returning to Podgorica from Beran, where they studied at the Medical College and took the exam.
The National Association of Nurses and Midwives and the College of Nurses and Technicians of the Clinical Center of Montenegro will hold a commemorative session on Sunday, June 01, 2014, in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica starting at 09:00, KCCG announced.
Turković told "Vijesta" last night that the investigation is not completely finished and that it will be continued today.
According to the information available to "Vijesti", the car was pulled from Morača around eight o'clock this morning.
