The festival of street musicians, the third in a row, will be held on August 24 and 25 in Nikšić, and visitors will have the opportunity to see numerous musicians and entertainers in the city park, on the square, on the plateau in front of the department store and in "Njegoševa" street.
According to Ivan Radojičić, the artistic director, last year's edition of the festival laid a serious foundation that they hope will be upgraded this year.
"We are pleased and proud that we managed to give new value to the festival culture in a short period of time, not only in Nikšić and Montenegro, but also beyond and that we managed to map Nikšić as a desirable cultural destination that has something to offer," he said. Radojičić added that all this is more motivation, but also an obligation to continue working even better.
Boško Milović said at the press conference that during the three evenings, including the promotional part that will be held tonight, 24 programs will be organized with the participation of over 60 participants from ten countries - Australia, Japan, Argentina, Norway, Austria, Russia , Ukraine, Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia.
According to him, the program will start at 18:22,30 with segments intended for the youngest, followed by the musical part that ends at XNUMX:XNUMX.
The youngest, as well as the older ones, will be able to enjoy the circus acts of the duo from Argentina Cocote Circo, the clown entertainers Fermin Mora, Cia Palma and Brillo, the performer Monk from Japan, while the show with fire, stilts and moving sculptures is in charge of the Kreativni pogon and Mirror crew.
As for the musicians, the people of Nikšić, as well as other visitors who decide to visit the city under Trebjes, will have the opportunity to hear the multi-instrumentalist Ice cream man (Mića Luković) from Belgrade, the Country duo (Strahinja Jajić and Aleksandar Laćarac) from Novi Sad, a seventeen-member troupe JeboTon from Zagreb, Magister ludi man (Davor Peršić) and his unusual hand-assembled instrument, UK singer-songwriter Laura Guarch, Swede Steffan Rundquist, Ukrainian duo More More, Austrian trio DUSHA conection, as well as Marcel Hutter, also from Austria...
Tonight, in the promotional part, More More and Cia Palma will perform.
This year's edition of the Festival also has a novelty - a film program, which will begin tonight with the screening of the feature-length documentary "Mountain" by Stefan Malešević about the life of Gorani from the Šar mountain.
During the Festival, as director Sejo Šabotić, who was in charge of the selection, said, ten films will be shown, five each during the evening.
These are films, as he pointed out, which treat the relationship between man and public space, which are socially engaged and which have been awarded at various festivals.
Tomorrow evening, the films "On Bike" by Gorjan Atanasov, "Wheels" by Ivan Čobajšić, "The Hottest Days of Summer" by Maša Šarović, "Agoraphobia" by Milorad Milatović and "Life has no replay" by the Marija Kotri Foundation will be shown tomorrow evening on the stage of the City Hall in the park. to the tragically deceased woman from Nikšić directed by Neil Diamond.
Saturday's "street film" begins with Marko Grba's "Abdul and Hamza", followed by the films "Lost City" by Sara Radusinović, "It look like we are alone" by Katarina Koljević and "Bars, walls" by Sara Stijović. Both evenings, film screenings will be shown from 20 to 22,30:XNUMX p.m.
The organizer of the festival is JU Zahumlje, with the support of the Municipality of Nikšić, and within the Nikšić cultural scene 2018.
