Investigators arrested nine members of the group charged with the murder of Miloš Šaković and accidental victim Radivoj Jovanović at the end of March in Podgorica.
Three people are still being sought, and among them is the suspected murderer Marko Jovanović, for whom a warrant has been issued. Those arrested were Lazar Raičević (21), Đurađ Lončar (23), Arnel Mandić (20), Miloš Božović (21), Željko Đukić (39), Drago Vukčević (30), Balša Todorović (23), Radoš Popović (29) and LS (34).
The brothers Predrag and Janko Vukadinović, Kristina Brnović and Dragoljub Ćetković, who is already in ZIKS serving a prison sentence, were previously arrested on suspicion of being connected to the double murder.
The investigators claim that after a four-month operation, they gathered enough evidence that the criminal group did not cease to exist by arresting one of its parts, after the murder of Šaković and Jovanović, but, on the contrary, was planning new serious crimes.
"Exactly for these reasons, after receiving an order from the judge for the investigation in Podgorica, searches were carried out at 15 locations in the area of Podgorica and Bar, and on that occasion nine persons were deprived of their liberty. So in this case, so far we have a total of 19 persons prosecuted, three of whom are on the run," said the head of the criminal police, Enis Baković.
Those prosecuted so far, as announced by the head of the special police department, Dragan Radonjić, make up the largest part of the criminal organization, which operated both in Montenegro and in other countries.
Baković also reminded that this criminal group is close to "one of the two strongest criminal clans operating on the territory of Montenegro, and in question is the Skaljar clan".
Kidnappings, robberies and international drug smuggling are just some of the crimes that are planned.
"The criminal plan of the organization was to commit criminal acts of intimidation, that is, criminal acts against life and limb, inflicting physical injuries on persons who are in conflict with the criminal organization, and intimidating certain persons by throwing explosive devices on their property, and setting fire to their vehicles." Radonjic said.
Investigators do not yet reveal whether this criminal group planned to kill someone else:
"We are still working on the issue of elucidating the crimes that this criminal organization planned to commit as part of the criminal plan, and not only the crimes of murder, but also other crimes that they planned to commit and for which the criminal organization itself was formed ", special prosecutor Saša Čađenović told reporters.
Šaković was killed more than four months ago in the strict center of Podgorica. The killer first shot at him in the crowded garden of the Forum restaurant, when he hit the accidental victim Jovanovic, who was sitting at the next table with his girlfriend.
Sakovic started to run away, but the killer caught up with him at a nearby watch shop and killed him.
The police are also investigating whether the murder of Šaković was retaliation for the liquidation of Dražen Čađenović. Čađenović was killed by a bomb on March 29, in a garage on Rimski trg.
Miloš Šaković is a relative of Milić Minja Šaković, an alleged member of the Skaljar criminal clan. The two were imprisoned together for the murder of Miroj Baošić, but "business" separated them.
The police unofficially claim that they belonged to warring criminal clans, that is, that the deceased Miloš was close to the Kavčani.

"49 grams of heroin, 551 grams of marijuana, 290 tablets of ecstasy, 210 grams of other synthetic drugs, 960 grams of substance for the production of narcotic drugs, three scales for precise measurement were found. The search also found three rifles, two pistols with obliterated serial numbers, 128 pieces of ammunition for an automatic rifle, 25 pieces of pistol ammunition, a frame for an automatic rifle, explosives with a slow-burning stick, three detonating capsules, as well as money in the amount of 475 euros for which is reasonably suspected to originate from the sale of narcotic drugs, as well as a silicone mask," said Radonjić.
