Although they had a "stumbled" line-up, with three players who did not play in their natural positions (midfielder Luka Šuljagić played on the correction, corrector Slobodan Bojić and technician Marko Vujović were on the service reception), the volleyball players of the Budva Riviera were able to win in the final of the CKB Cup Montenegro came easily and quickly, in 70 minutes of play, without any dilemma and real resistance from the other side of the net.
Without competitive matches this season, Budućnost was an easy "bite" for Budva Riviera, which with experience and quality routinely reached the fifth consecutive trophy in the Cup, the fourth time with 3:0 against the "eternal rival".
Although in the announcement many actors from both camps announced a more uncertain final compared to previous years, that did not happen. Experience, but also quality, and the eight games played in the Champions League, however, were a great capital in the hands of the Predrag Ćorluka team, and it was visible from the first point.
Even when he doesn't have an ideal reception, and tonight he didn't have it during the whole match, Marko Falaski skillfully found the right solutions, sometimes he successfully finished the actions himself, and he blocked the opponent twice. Just like last year, Luka Šuljagić was again very good in the role of a corrector, winning only one point less than all three of the ultimate scumbags of Budućnost together!
Libero Ivan Rašović covered more than half of the field when receiving serves ("hidden" was Vujović, who had to change the essence of his game the most), with 83 percent positive, i.e. 58 percent ideal reception, with an excellent game in defense.
Ivan Ječmenica took six points from the block against his former club, as many as the entire opposing team together, Milan Marković did not realize just one ball in the attack...
If Aleksandar Milivojević recovers by the start of the playoffs, it is hard to imagine that the final of the playoffs, which starts on April 2, will be more interesting.
In the final, Buducnost, as expected, "targeted" Slobodan Bojić the most with serve, but did not get much benefit out of it, and with 13 service errors, it was hard to expect the match to be uncertain. The final scorers, Luka Babić and Marko Vukašinović, who received 28 and 21 balls, respectively, had a low percentage of attack realization - Babić 29, and Vukašinović only 19 percent.
And the service percentage was weaker compared to the rival, the "blues" won twice as many points on the block as well, so the small audience in Nikšić did not have the opportunity to watch interesting me, on the contrary...
Buducnost won the first point of the match (Radovic), and that was the only lead the "blues" had during the match. On the serve of Šuljagić, Budvanska had the series until 9:3, and even then broke this set. In truth, Budućnost threatened at 13:15, but the people of Budva repelled that attack from Podgorica and calmly brought the set to an end.
In the second set, Buducnost held until 7:7, and then the champion took a 5:0 series to take a 2:0 lead, and everything was decided at 20:12.
Already at the beginning of the third set, Budva led 5:1, Budućnost returned to 10:12, but at the second technical timeout it was plus five for Riviera (16:11), when it was clear that the match would not last more than three set...
Cvetko Pajković, president of the Volleyball Association of Montenegro, presented the Cup winner's cup to Budva captain Milan Marković. Medals were handed out to the winning team by Milan Korać, secretary of the Nikšić Sports Secretariat, while Igor Bulatović, director of the CKB bank branch in Nikšić, handed the medals to the players of Budućnost.
Ivan Bošković, General Secretary of the OSCG, presented the medals to the officials, while Milan Marković, before the match, received the award for the best volleyball player of Montenegro in 2013 on behalf of Vojin Ćaćić.
