The trial for the murder of Vesnić has ended, the defense claims that the witnesses were framed

In the Podgorica High Court, the trial of Duško N. Roganović, Vladimir M. Roganović and Dražen Čađenović, accused of murdering the leader of "Delija" from Belgrade Marko P. Vesnić and wounding Ivan Marković, ended.

The prosecutor, Sanja Jovićević, changed the indictment, but remained with the legal qualification that they killed the leader of the "Delija" fans and wounded his godfather with intent.

The difference compared to the earlier indictment is the information that six shots were fired at the bench where Vesnić was sitting with his friends, and that one of them ricocheted and caused a fatal injury. It was specified that Duško stabbed the deceased with a knife.

Lawyer Zoran Piperović said that in that five-year court process, no evidence established that the Roganović brothers were in the park where Vesnić was killed. He recalled that the indictment was changed three times and that the brothers were first accused of murdering out of self-interest...

"Prosecution witnesses Bećir Bećiraj and Branko Đurđević, utility company workers, said that they saw a purse being stolen from Vesnić, and with this evidence that the purse was returned, their claim was challenged. The defense refused to prove that the two witnesses were framed, and the amended indictment supports their testimony. However, the Roganovićs were convicted on the basis of two on-duty witnesses... In this case, there is neither ordinary nor serious murder, so I suggest to the court that you acquit them," said Piperović.

Lawyer Rajko Božović said, among other things, that the identification of Duško Roganović by the police was carried out illegally, because the inspectors had previously shown his photo to witnesses Bećiraj and Đurđević.

Duško Roganović, in his closing speech, said that he had no motive to kill.

Attorney Goran Rodić, the defense attorney for Goran Vlaović, accused of helping the defendants while they were hiding, reproached the prosecutor for not analyzing the evidence against Vlaović in more detail in his closing argument.

"Due to the lack of evidence against him, the prosecutor is in a difficult position. The presence of Vlaović in this trial is necessary for the prosecutor to act as a third utility worker, in addition to the two witnesses of PUC workers," Rodić said, proposing to the court to acquit Vlaović.

According to the indictment, on July 24, 2009, brothers Roganović and Čađenović wounded Vesnić with pistol shots and then injured him with a knife near the Youth Park in Igalo. The verdict will be announced on March 21.
